To be eligible for these scholarships the applicant must:
Have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes.
Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
In September of the year that the award is granted.
To apply for the scholarship, the application, including transcripts, must be submitted to Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation before the deadline.

Applications are ONLY Available March 15 - April 15.
The winner will be selected from the pool of complete applications based on the essay, marks and application by a committee of the Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation.
The winner is announced on May 15.
Sir Frederick Banting Legacy Foundation will pay the scholarship to the successful applicants in September with proof of enrolment at a Canadian school.
